After scouting out Pichelemu's windswept peninsula in town we settled on this very serene campsite a few kilometres south of town. Set on a lake it has quite a number of large campsites nestled under the surrounding pine trees. Wood was easily obtained for the BBQ and with power and water on each site it made it a good first stay in Chile.

The good

Showers were piping hot during the scheduled hours. The area was very spacious and even through it got quite full there was not much noise that carried between sites.

The bad

We arrived and no one was attending the reception area, the place looked very deserted. Eventually a guy named Alexi turned up who we paid our money to.

The ugly

A band of elderly people turned up in a car the next morning demanding payment. We explained we had paid Alexi the day before but they weren't having any of it. We made sure we got receipts for campsite payments after this point!
