After scouting out Pichelemu's windswept peninsula in town we settled on this very serene campsite a few kilometres south of town. Set on a lake it has quite a number of large campsites nestled under the surrounding pine trees. Wood was easily obtained for the BBQ and with power and water on each site it made it a good first stay in Chile.\r\n<h2>The good<\/h2>\r\nShowers were piping hot during the scheduled hours. The area was very spacious and even through it got quite full there was not much noise that carried between sites.\r\n<h2>The bad<\/h2>\r\nWe arrived and no one was attending the reception area, the place looked very deserted. Eventually a guy named Alexi turned up who we paid our money to.\r\n<h2>The ugly<\/h2>\r\nA band of elderly people turned up in a car the next morning demanding payment. We explained we had paid Alexi the day before but they weren't having any of it.
