We stayed 4 nights in between the arduous hike up Volcan Villarrica and visiting the nearby thermal springs and the simply stunning Los Ojos del Caburgua. The campsite operation was relaxed and simple yet effective facilities were welcomed.

The good

Location was the key selling point and allowed us to wander central Pucon walking directly from the campsite, useful when we had a 6:30am start for Villarrica! The campsite manager was quite jovial and helpful just the same and we were lucky to have our pick of campsites. WiFi was available, although signal was feint as you moved away from the reception.

While we didn't use it there was a common area to sit in shelter and use the stove and sink for preparing food or to sit and chat under shelter should the weather turn bad.

The bad

The toilets and showers were pretty run down and not all that clean but the water pressure and consistent hot water made up for that.

The awesome

Throwing some steaks over hot coals with a few cool beers as the sun went down was a memorable and just reward for our summit of Villarrica. The portable fire pits and available wood provided at La Poza making this setting all the more easier.
