While that was not entirely true, Camping Incnita definitely gave us respite from the dry heat we had spent driving through in the desert the past few days.

Eight shaded, self-contained campsites ran along the length of their compound with an inviting pool in the middle. The owner was a delightful lady who made us welcome. The self contained campsites had everything, a plates, cups, utensils a gas cooker, fridge, sink, tables and chairs, even sun lounges by the pool!

The good

The inviting pool and the luxury of the self contained campsite with everything needed to camp.

The bad

It was not possible to drive a vehicle into the individual campsite, as parking is on the other side of the pool. Not too much of an inconvenience despite us needing to sleep in the carpark!

The awesome

After driving through the Atacama desert for hours across the dry sandy plains it was welcome relief to fall into the Incnita pool and then lay back on the sun lounges in the shade with a cool beer! The setup was minimal as almost everything is supplied.
