It was exactly 20km to run out to Burrawang. The Burrawang General Store has been in existence in some shape or form since 1867. It is a well-preserved piece of the colonial past when the area was just a field of native palm trees, known by the locals as <em>Burrawang<\/em>. The run was in an occasional misty rain which any runner will tell you is welcome. A pleasant distraction was the rolling hills of farmland that extends south-east of Bowral.\r\n<h3>Running Stats:<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Distance: 20km<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Pie Time: 1:45 mins<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>Pie Charts:<\/h3>\r\nBurrawang General Store has a pie on the specials board each day of the week. This was our first of the dine-in\u00a0gourmet pies. Hold on folks, we're now moving into some very gourmet territory! The Chicken Chilli pie was served with mushy peas and roast carrots and beans atop a mound of creamy mashed potato. It was a step up from the more traditional take-away meat pies e had tried to date.\u00a0Definitely a welcome feast after 20km of running.\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Pies:<\/strong> Chicken Chilli (different pie each day of the week so call ahead).<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Pastry:<\/strong>\u00a0The bulbous lid was extremely light and fluffy. The base was thick, yet super\u00a0soft and a meal in itself.
