A scenic run was had through equally remote Colo Vale with farmlands making up much of what there is to see after leaving Mittagong. This is definitely an acquired taste. Australian lambs fry tends to use only liver but traditionally it can contain testicles, heart, kidneys, and even brain. I didn't expect to be using the word testicles once, let alone twice, in write-ups for Southern Highlands bakeries!\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Pies:<\/strong>\u00a0Lambs Fry; Classic Beef<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Pastry:<\/strong>\u00a0Standard pie pastry. We have determined now the difference in pastry\u00a0based on using vegetable shortner instead of butter. The butter based pastry is certainly preferred as it allows a thick but soft texture.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Filling:<\/strong>\u00a0The lamb's fry had quite a strong taste and personally I found it quite overpowering. The classic beef was a reliable,\u00a0no-nonsense pie you'd crave while watching a game of footy.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Cost:<\/strong>\u00a0$4.50 each<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Sauce tax:<\/strong> 30 cents.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<div class=\"bg-sling-ref white-text margin-five-bottom\">\r\n<h2 class=\"section-title white-text\">Southern Highlands Pie Trail Run<\/h2>\r\n<p class=\"text-medium padding-two-top no-margin-bottom\"><a href=\"https:\/\/slingadventures.com\/destinations\/australia\/the-great-southern-highlands-pie-trail-run\">The Southern 'Pielands' Trail Run<\/a>\u00a0went for the month of June.
