It was fitting then that we finished it with the newly crowned 2018\u00a0PieTime champions, Stones Patisserie Berrima. And, unlike Southern Rise, we were able to sample the winning pie The 'Head to Tail' during our visit.\r\n\r\nThe pie awards this year have been extended to include all of NSW and the ACT, so the award to Stones comes with some prestige. We sat on the sun-filled porch to literally enjoy our time in the sun after marking the end of our pie trail run to all 26 bakeries in the Southern Highlands. We made it!\r\n<h3>Running Stats:<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Distance: 10.5km<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Pie Running Time: 45 minutes<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>Pie Charts:<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Pies:<\/strong>\u00a0Head to Tail pie.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Pastry:<\/strong>\u00a0Pastry was up there with the best.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Filling:<\/strong>\u00a0The surprise was the cherry tomatoes\u00a0in the filling which were bursting with flavour and balanced really well with\u00a0the oxtail stew.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Cost:<\/strong>\u00a0$18 served with french fries.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Sauce tax:<\/strong>\u00a0None, sauce as included.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<div class=\"bg-sling-ref white-text margin-five-bottom\">\r\n<h2 class=\"section-title white-text\">Southern Highlands Pie Trail Run<\/h2>\r\n<p class=\"text-medium padding-two-top no-margin-bottom\"><a href=\"https:\/\/slingadventures.com\/destinations\/australia\/the-great-southern-highlands-pie-trail-run\">The Southern 'Pielands' Trail Run<\/a>\u00a0went for the month of June. As ambassadors for 'Pie time' we ran to all of the 26 bakeries on the official Pie Trail to see what they had to offer.
